Description-el emacs-el contains the emacs-elisp sources for many of the elisp programs included with the main Emacs text editor package. They are only useful for people who want to edit or look at them. Description-leim emacs-leim contains the emacs-elisp input methods for various international character scripts. Description-main GNU Emacs is a self-documenting, customizable, extensible real-time display editor. Users new to Emacs will be able to use basic features fairly rapidly by studying the tutorial and using the self-documentation features. Emacs also has an extensive interactive manual browser. It is easily extensible since its editing commands are written in Lisp. GNU Emacs's many special packages handle mail reading (RMail) and sending (Mail), outline editing (Outline), compiling (Compile), running subshells within Emacs windows (Shell), running a Lisp read-eval-print loop (Lisp-Interaction-Mode), automated psychotherapy (Doctor :-) and many more. Flavors: no_x11 - build without X11 support |

Log message: Work around the fact that emacs undump knows too much about the layout of elf files (or thinks it does). These assumptions were just broken by binutils/ld changes to put GOT and PLT into their own PT_LOAD sections. Thus BSS is no longer part of the DATA PT_LOAD section. This is a workaround using the '-Z' compatibility flag which disables the GOT/PLT padding. |
